Parcel Custom Clearance Requirements
To simplify the customs clearance process for your parcel, we handle everything from submitting required documents to coordinating with Customs and Australia Post for final delivery. With our expertise, you can be confident that your parcels will be processed without delays, saving you time and hassle while ensuring full compliance with regulations.
Step 1) Submit Required Documents
To initiate customs clearance, we need the following:
- Parcel Post Notification Card: This document is sent by Australia Post, notifying you that your parcel has arrived.
- Supplier’s Invoice: Proof of purchase, such as an eBay or PayPal receipt, detailing the contents and value of the parcel.
Step 2) Import Declaration and Duty Calculation
We handle your import declaration, calculate applicable customs duties (typically 5% of the parcel’s value) and GST (10% of the value), and provide you with an invoice for our service fee.
Step 3) Letter of Authority
We will send you a Letter of Authority to sign, allowing us to act as your customs broker and clear your parcel on your behalf.
Step 4) Processing Time
Once all documents are received, we coordinate with Customs and Border Protection. Clearance assessments and payment processes typically take up to three working days.
Step 5) Final Delivery Coordination
After customs clearance and payment, we liaise with Australia Post to release your parcel for delivery. Most parcels are delivered within three business days, though rural areas may take up to five business days.
Tracking Your Parcel
Once your parcel is cleared and released, you can track its progress on the Australia Post website using your tracking number to monitor its status and delivery schedule. For any inquiries regarding the location or delivery of your parcel, please contact Australia Post directly at ph 131318.
